National Honor Society for Dance Arts presents "a week dedicated to creating body-positive dance environments". Footlight Dance Company is a chartered NHSDA chapter at Wood River HS. This week was started in 2005 as a way to create a supportive dance environment to create positive messaging in relationship to our arts instrument of dance "our body". In our first year of participation we will be celebrating with age appropriate activities that look at body positivity and self-love. A collaboration of students and teachers in creating a safe environment for all. |
